Over the past months, through the Warm Hearts Nuseirat campaign, your support has helped thousands of families and children in my camp survive the winter and its hardships.

And finaly, after three weeks of planning our new humanitarian mission, we have finished building Zainab a new home, safer and more comfortable. Zainab was only two years old when she was severely injured, and since then, she had been living in conditions unfit for any human being.

Now, Zainab, her parents, and her two young brothers are sleeping in their new home, with fewer worries and far fewer mosquito bites than before. But Zainab and her family still need Allah's help, and my care. Too many children do.

My mum told me that children sheltering at the school keep asking her whether we will provide them with Eid clothes again this time. She said she still sees children wearing the same clothes we gave them last Eid, over and over again, because they simply have nothing else to wear.

A week ago, I almost drowned while trying to rescue a child from drowning. Since then, I have felt completely shut down, but I am finally beginning to recover a little. I can breathe and eat normally again.

All this time, I wanted to share not only my suffering, but the suffering of others too, not just to make it visible, but to help ease it as well. I know I am able to help so many children. I only needed the means to do so, and I am deeply grateful to have been given the chance to help with responsibility, compassion, and empathy.

I must also mention that we are very short of funds right now, and many children are still waiting for something as simple as clothes for Eid. Kindly support me in making this possible. We were never meant to live through this endless, relentless massacre. Yet together; with compassionate hearts and thoughtful minds, we have endured it, and still continue to exist with pride and dignity.
