People help the children
I was at the beach with my friend Aboud, who brought me one of his jackets to wear. We were waiting there for the Sumod flottila, until the occupation arrived, terrifying everyone, stealing baby formula, and continuing to kill, starve, and deepen the children's suffering.
In that moment, I thought of the children, and of the cold waiting for them. I realized that cold is something we can fight, even if resisting under siege is unbearably hard.
We must not surrender; for the sake of the children, for the sake of the vulnerable.
I wish I could be a candle in the darkness, warmth in the cold, and love and care in this timne of unbearable cruelty. Tomorrow marks two years of this genocide. The nights are growing colder, and winter is coming. I want to ask for your help again; this time, to buy jackets for the children in the same camp where we once brought them shoes. They have so little, and even the smallest act of kindness can keep them warm and remind them they are not forgotten. Will you stand with me in this? I'm exhausted, but I know I must prepare a post and start planning to make this happen. Some dear friends are helping me so we can make this effort big enough to guarantee a warmer winter for as many children as possible.
