We have never been free
This picture of me was taken shortly before the genocide, at the main seaport, the most lovely place for Gazans. Now, this place is completely destroyed and burned, and my people and I are completely traumatised and broken.
Deep inside me, the smell of life is still stronger than the smell of death, and thinking of a normal life and missing it, makes me cry, more than thinking of death, but that might change at any moment!
We have never been free, since we were born and we have never had a moment of peace in the homeland of peace, because they have occupied the land, mind, heart, soul, conscience, and they literally occupied everything. They have been killing. traumatizing, suffocating, and oppressing us and tried with all their evils and dark powers to eradicate beauty and love from our ribs, but they could not and will never be able to, because we were, and still are, and will continue to be Palestinians, who never stopped struggling to stay beautiful, strong, steadfast, and caring and loving humans.
Humans, you are peaceful, loving, and beautiful, because no one occupied your land, sky, and sea, and no criminal devils terrorized you in your neighborhoods, workplaces and homes, and no one killed you or tortured you, or starved you. Your mission was much easier than ours. You were like the flowers of a tree in the spring, blossoming, and we were the leaves of a tree in the fall, falling but steadfast despite everything.
We are tired of death and life alike, but we never surrendered, nor did we accept humiliation, and indignity. We have resisted the fall, and we will continue to resist, until we rise again, resilient like a miraculous phoenix, and powerful and stubborn like mountains and we will free our land from the occupiers like a body is cured from a cancer, I PROMISE you that.
I may lose my life at any moment after posting this, but this will never change the truth of the words that I wrote, and that Palestine never dies with the death of Palestinians, but rather lives, and will live forever. SALAM.
