Today marks 1,000 days since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, and 28,537 days since the Nakba.
This day is not only a painful milestone for Palestinians in Gaza; it is a milestone for the entire world. It should be enough to convince even the youngest child that justice is, too often, just a word, and that many of the principles they are told guide civilized Societies have failed when they have been needed most, while more than a million children continue to suffer in the midst of it all.
If such horrific crimes against humanity can continue with impunity, humanity risks descending ever further into chaos and barbarism, to a world where an occupying psychopathic power disregards international law, where thousands of families are no longer with us but remain buried beneath the rubble of their homes, and where the killing of even more families, and the deliberate denial of life saving care to those still alive, can be justified whenever those in power choose to do so.
Does anyone truly believe that the so-called "Peace Council" was established to save us from genocide? To me, it appears to be a Successful attempt to convince the world that peace is being offered through them, when all they have brought us is one layer of hell upon another, continuing to this very day.
They have decided that more than a million children should endure even greater suffering because they no longer see then as children deserving of life. They have announced plans for what they describe as camps while continuing the destruction of what remains, inflicting further suffering on an entire population. They also seek to dismantle United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, cutting off one of the most important lifelines for over two millions of Palestinians. For many, that would mean the loss of essential education, healthcare, food assistance, and other services that have sustained generations líving under occupation and displacement.
The very least that should have been done by now was to stop the Israelis from causing any further damage.
It's too dark out there, and I hear explosions in the distance. I'm stuck in hell. Human animals are approaching us, ready to devour our bodies. I'm not afraid, I'm depressed and anxious. I can't feel hope or safety. I'm living through trauma so devastating that I can hardly believe it.
We only wanted the chance to live, to love, and to suffer ordinary human struggles like everyone else. Instead, we ended up fighting madness and insanity.
Is there any hope left in humanity, any chance that this constant feeling of being dehumanized will end, or at least ease for a meaningful amount of time? The world does not truly feel our suffering now. Perhaps it will eventually, after we are all lost, or perhaps only when loss reaches their own front doors.
This evil is not only destroying us; it is consuming everything good in good people, and making cruel people even crueler.
If my end comes at the hands of these human animals, then it feels like the end of everything.

(+2.4) million people in the Gaza Strip are being subjected to genocide, starvation, and ethnic cleansing.

Inever expected to be seen by so many people in mny life, or to be supported and cared for by thousands around the world. I have had to go through hell to have my humanity recognized, and I am still enduring daily suffering and uncertainty about what is yet to come.
This reach has allowed me to document and share some of the painful stories I have witnessed, both inside and outside the hospital. It has also heiped me provide financial support to many vulnerable people in Gaza.
