l just finished a call with the mother of a disabled child from my area whom we have been supporting. She told me that her son, Hassan, who is now two years old, has been suffering from seizures since he was only six months old.
He had a high fever back then, and because of the lack of medicine and the scarcity of food at the time, his condition was not properly treated, which may have contributed to him developing permanent seizures. He is dependent on anti-seizure medication, but his family has not been able to afford it. They found me, and over the past few months, I have been helping them get the medication he needs
Hassan has two brothers, Oday and Mohammed. His mother told me that she has been so desperate to provide her son with his medication that she could bareiy bring herself to ask for help getting stationary and a small bag for Oday's kindergarten. She also needed to borrow the cost of his kindergarten, which was oniy about $15.
l also spoke with the camp manager today about what needs to be brought and done. He told me that one family, whose father is injured, needs a tent so they can move from one place to another to escape their troublesome neighbors. Two more families in the camp urgentiy need tents and tarps.
I brought three wheelchairs yesterday. One was for a mother with lung problems who has been relying on borrowing a wheelchair from her neighbors. The other two will go to an elderly man and a child in the camp who have no wheelchairs.

Prescription glasses for a girl and a young man. Repairs to a tuk-tuk and a transport cart, which are the livelihoods of two families.
Repairing a wall and a door of a house where children had been at risk of falling,
Repairing a mosque bathroom and providing it with the necessary supplies. The same mosque where children who were memorizing the Quran were provided with food and juice for two months.
Dental treatment for two people, including a woman with Down syndrome.

We also provided the school with 10 plastic chairs, after providing it with 200 carefully made double desks and 120 plastic chairs last month.
Before that, during Eid, we provided 530 children with Eid clothes and I00 women with prayer dresses.
Before that, we successfuily built a safer and more comfortable home for Zainab, the injured little girl, and her family.
Tomorrow, Friday, I will go to the camp to assess what needs to be provided for the kindergarten so that it can be ready to welcome 60 children in one week.
