What is this level of torment?
I've just finished treating a 25- year-old woman who was brought in after an airstrike destroyed her home. She suffered severe injuries, deep, gaping wounds and burns all over her body.
A very happy Eid!
I wanted to show you these orphaned young girls “Eileen Lama, Jana”, who are enduring tremendous pain this Eid, after already surviving so many sorrowful ones. And I can’t help but wonder; will they ever get to experience even one truly happy Eid?
if you feel pain, you’re alive.
“If you feel pain, you're alive. If you feel other people’s pain, you're a human being.”
eileen
Eileen, the child who bled alone tonight. Just as Hind and Yusuf bled to death before her, and just as thousands of children have perished in blood over these long months. Tonight, Eileen bears witness to the world’s failure and feels it in every fibre of her shattered, bleeding body.
support is not empty words
It is not hashtags and whispered sympathies. Support is a stance.
Ready for sleep
Ready for sleep; only to wake up and be dragged into another day of suffering and injustice.
Why don't cats rule the world, so it could be as gentle as they are?
Exhausted. Drained. Worn in ways no one has ever been. Yet, we remain. Day after day, we fight not only to save lives but to survive ourselves under a sky that knows no peace and within walls that tremble with injustice. We're running on empty, but we refuse to give up or surrender.
We have never been free
This picture of me was taken shortly before the genocide, at the main seaport, the most lovely place for Gazans. Now, this place is completely destroyed and burned, and my people and I are completely traumatised and broken.
Thank you, humans
Today is the day 400, of the most destructive, and the most unjust and oppressive war of humans history, and I really don't know how I and my family have survived all of these days.
I am just one person
The first Photo is of me and Karaz" who lost her mother and her only brother, in an airstrike"
World, could you please wake up..
World, could you please wake up from your deep coma, and could you please get out of your comfort zone, as in your comfort lies our death zone, and our end!
The bombing DIDN'T stop!
Happening now: 1 Nov 2024, Friday, from the early morning until this very moment, for hours, the bombing didn't stop!
I can’t even save lives!
I wanted to become a doctor, because when I was young, I wished to have the ability to help others, and save their lives; but now l'm a doctor, living in and witnessing genocide, and I can't even save lives!
